Family picture day

So this past weekend we had our big family picture day with my parents. We took them at the beach with Krystle. She does such great work. I am in awe every time I get mine back.

I thought this was going to be a not so good shoot cause it was later then we do them and outside. The kids were great and we all had fun doing it. One of the main reasons for the shoot was so my parents could have pictures with their grand kids. Since they live in CA it is hard for them to get pictures with the kids while they are growing up. I am so glad it all worked out and we have some great pictures. I love the ones of my mom and dad together.

My kids have been getting up at 6am this whole week, Why?

There is so much that I need to get done but can't seem to find enough time in the day to get it all done, Why?

I went to get a drink with dinner and I had no more soda in the fridge. I even was at the store today and didn't get any, Why?

Was at the doctors today, there are days when you have to sit and wait for your name to be called but today we were in and out with in 5 minutes, Why?

I didn't keep the kids at home cause it was old out.

I didn't go to Ben and Alli's to hang out and have a few laughs :)

I didn't take Katie with me to pick up my dad even though it would have been nice

I didn't spend a day with Mike.

I didn't go to Target to get shoes for Katie, socks for both kids. I also didn't go to Publix to get food for the house.

I didn't go get my hair done for family pictures.

I didn't go to the beach with the family for our pictures then out to dinner after.

I didn't play with the kids, read books and make sure naps were taken.

I didn't play hide and seek and bball with the kids.

I didn't go to books a million to get the kids books and to get me a new book. I didn't go to Marshall's to get a dress to wear when it gets hot again

I didn't go to Publix to get food to puree for Michael and puree food for the next few weeks. I also didn't go to Target to get a few things for the kitchen



I didn't watch a movie with my mom and Katie.

I didn't get up early or have no sleep at all due to kids wanting to play or not be sleepy.

Busy, busy busy

I have been very busy since Thursday. On Thursday I stayed home with mom, the kids and Mike. We hung out at the house. Dad was out of town and Katie and I were going to pick him up later that day. I was nice to have Mike home that day.
Friday was another day at home. First mom and I took the kids to Target and Publix. We need a few things. After we got home I went to Mike's store to get him so we could take a computer to the bus to go to Ohio. Finally the computer is out of the house:) Later that day we just hung out and had fun as a family.
Saturday we went to the beach then to dinner at Olive Garden. We had so much fun. It was a little cold at the beach but so worth it.
Today we hung out at home. After mom and dad came home from church. Katie and mom played some BBall while dad worked outside. Michael has been cutting a third tooth so he has been fussy and tired a lot. Tonight is our family movie night. Not sure what we will watch since it is just Mike and I. Both kids are down for the night and mom and dad are tired also. I will let Mike pick the movie. This week should be interesting since Mike's days off are all off. I do want to go to Books A Million.

So much to talk about!!!!

I have so much to talk about. It has been over a week since I last posted. My parents came into town for their month long visit and we have been spending time with them. Dad still has to work while he is here but it is nice to have them here. They get to spend time with the kids and I know they miss that so much in CA.

Katie loves to play hide and seek with my mom. The same spots every time. When we have to go out and they stay home she can't wait to get home to her poppyduckie.

It's cold outside

So it has been cold in Florida for some time. We have been staying inside and keeping warm. We have bee playing lots of hide n seek, bball and just having fun. We did take a trip to Publix for food and that was a adventure.

My little girl is growing up so much.

*Loves to brush her teeth and have painted nails(when I can get them done)

Mother Daughter day
Yesterday my mom and I took a mother daughter day. We went to the mall did some shopping, got our nails done and had lunch. It was such a great day. I was able to get the rest of the things for the kids outfits for pictures this Saturday. I also got a cute outfit from Gymborre for Katie. My mom did her shopping too. Then off to get our nails done and watch TV and just relax. Lunch was great. I hope we can have more of them before she leaves.

Helping friends :)
After I got home from my mother daughter day, Mike and I loaded the kids up in the car (even though it was in the 50's) We headed to Ben's new place. Ben has been going through a lot the past couple weeks. So Mike went to go help him get some more things from the old place. I stayed there and the kids just had a blast playing. I was so glad that Ben and Mike were able to bring some things home. Alli and I were worried that they would come back empty handed.
I told you I had lots to talk about. I will try to get back to the one a day posting. I will have lots moe to talk about with the family still here.

Our Sunday

My little man is 8 months old today. It was just like yesterday I had him. He is doing more and more every day. He is on the go from the time he gets up till bed time. I love to watch him crawl after his sister and try to do the things she does. Yesterday he was all over the house while I did some cleaning and laundry. I had put him in the kitchen with a toy and the next thing I knew he was right next to me trying to help put clothes int he dryer. It was so cute.
Last night we went and had dinner at our friend Ben's house. The kids had a blast. Dinner was great and we loved the company. After dinner we sat down and just hung out while the Katie got under her blanket and said good night. Michael was trying to find anything to put in his mouth. It was a great night and i can't wait to do it again. Next time is at our house.
The Mast family movie night has been out on hold for a couple weeks. We have been invited to dinner with friends and love doing that. This next movie night will be good due to the fact my parents will be with us. I had thought about putting a DVD on for the kids to watch some movies we have ready seen and get to my organizing and scrapbooking today. Mike always jokes that we can open our own toy store. But we are set for the next baby. I will glad to get a play room big enough for all the kids toys and not be stepping on them.
With a birthday coming up next month I would love to have everything organized and not have to do it again. I don't need anything special just all the kids things organized. I am not the kind of person who needs a gift every holiday. Just being with friends and family is the only gift I need.

I am going to be one busy mommy!!!

I never took the time to sit down and think about how busy I am going to be once the new baby comes. I love the time I have with my two kids. I love how I still have one on one time with them. Katie and I have it when Michael is down for his am nap. We watch DVDs or play with her my little ponies. We have so much fun. My one on one time with Michael is when he gets up from his pm nap before Katie gets up. We eat and just play with his toys. I know I will make it work. I will be happy to have the three of them to spend all day with. We will have so much fun. Katie is at the age were she can help out when I need it. She is so grown up for a 3 year old.

I know I will be busy with lots more to do. More laundry, more dishes and two birthday party's to plan. I am ready for 3 kids. I will have lots of help from friends and family. I am so thankful for my friends and family.

Find it funny!!!

I find it funny how some people act. Why can't people act their age and like some 12 year olds.
Today I made Chili. It has been getting cold at night so I thought something warm would be great. Katie can't wait to eat it. The started out to earlly for me. Katie got up when Mike was getting ready for work. So it made for a long day. We sat in her room watching dvds trying to get her back to bed. Finally I gave up and just let her go in the family room and play. I thought since she got up so earlly she would take a long early nap. Nope she took her nap at like 4 something on the way home from the mall and Target. I had to go buy my shirt for our family pics that we are taking this month. Tomorrow is the big organizing day. All the kids toys will be done and then off to another project I should have had done so long ago. Organizing all our family pictures. I don't want to loose anymore of them. I am still sadden that I lost all our wedding pics, Honeymoon pics and all the pics from Katie's birth and leading up to it. I will be so happy to get the drive fixed so I can have them back.

No more being sick!!!

I am glad to say that the Mast household is over being sick. I fell so much better. Now on to the nesting that I have so wanted to be doing the past couple weeks but haven't felt up to it. Yesterday Mike was off and it was great to have him home for a day. We have been getting ready for my parents to come for their month visit. I am so excited to have them here. The last time they saw the kids in person Katie was turning 2 and Michael was 3 months old. I have so much planed to do while they are here. We plan on taking a family picture at the beach. I am so excited for this. I have been planning all the pictures that we will be taking from now till April. I am so excited to see the them all.

Getting organized

So I have decided to get every organized by April. I will get all the kids toys and clothes organized and put away that they don't wear or play with right now. I am then going to work on our family photos. I need to get everything put on to cd's and keep them all together as of year taken. I have wanted to have all the toys done before Michael came but I just couldn't. Now is the time. with three kids I need to be more organized.
I hope to have their room done tomorrow. So much toddler and baby things to get put away. Then on to my room. Everything seems to go from their room to ours. When we move it will be so much better. They will have their own room and I can divide the toys up. I will be so happy to have the big playroom and the back room for crafts. I will keep you all up to date on the organization as it goes. I have just been so sick and not wanting to post anything. Just sleep when I can.
Today Mike worked on his computer's and got all that stuff organized. Then we had dinner with our friends at their house. It was so much fun. Next time it is at our house. Maybe a BBQ. Tomorrow I get to organize the kitchen and family room. The best rooms to work on. Then off to the kids room and my room. 4 rooms in one day. I will be none stop till bed time.

Not so good Tuesday

A not so good Tuesday!!!!
Today was a not so good day for the Mast family. I was not feeling so good yesterday. I have had a sinus infection for two days now. The only thing that seems to help is a hot shower. The lack of sleep doesn't help either. Michael is still getting up at night to eat. Today Michael got up at 6am and wanted to eat. Mike got up with him cause I needed to take another shower. We got him back to sleep but not for long. He was up for the day and we let him play on the floor for awhile, why we laid in bed for a little longer. Mike got up and took him out to the family room to play. I was then able to get some sleep while he played with the kids. Today we have just been staying at home. No going out for us. We do lunch with Mike when he works but today he had to come home. I have been very blessed to have to not put kids on meds. The worst they get is a runny nose either from weather change or teething. Today was a day we just watched movies and hung out under covers between loads of laundry. Naps are off for us but that doesn't matter to me as long as they are comfortable and getting better. I will get naps back on track when there are no more runny noses in this household.
Tonight was the vapor rub and humidifiers for the kids. Another sleepless night for me running back and forth from kid to kid and to the shower for me. We had to head off to publix close to bed time to get more motrian for the kids so they could sleep. I will be glad when this is all over and things are back to normal. I hope Mike doesn't get it next.

Fun with the family

So last night we got the kids to bed and spent some time just Mike and I. We uploaded songs on the computer and just spent time together.
Today we got the kids up on the bed and let them run around and play. I love the times when the four of us can just sit down and play. I love to see the ids faces when they laugh and are having a good time. Michael wanted to climb up over Mike to get the the headboard. Katie would jump and bounce around having the time of her life. The day when Mike is off we try to spend them as a family. he woks so many hours and is tired on his days off but he spends them with us.


I love that we even take turns having time out with out kids. Mike goes to the range and I go out with friends. It is the best way to have a great relationship. I love how we don't have to go to dinner or anything special to have time just us. Sitting on the couch watching a move or tv show is what we need. I love the talks we have when we climb into bed. The little times we get are the best. We would rather be with the kids watching them play together and just see how they turn out.
The nights I love the best are Sunday nights when we have Movie Night. We skipped this Sunday due to work. All under the quilt just with the family are the memories I will never forget.

A wonderful day

Today was such a great day for the Mast Family. Mike had to work which was not so good for him. Today the kids and I hung out at the house and watched some movies, played with toys and talked to Poppie and Duckie. After naps and Mike got home we droped of a computer at B's house. We had made plans to have dinner with Brian. We had a great meal and lots and lots of laughs tonight. I am glad we do dinner ever Saturday with Brian. Mike and I talked about the up coming week and what needed to be done before my parents came to town. We are so excited to have them here for a month. Every day when Katie gets up she says "call poppieduckie" I love how their names have become one.
I have been so proud of Katie. She has slept in her big girl bed for about 3 weeks now. Before she would get up and be in our bed. That was to much for me. We had tried the big girl bed about a year ago but she kept rolling out of the bed and onto the hard floor. But I am proud to say no falling out of bed. I am glad that my little girl is growing up, but where did my little princes who we use to have to hold and patt to sleep go.

I am so proud of all the new things she has been learning. Like today. Michael was crying and before I could even get to him she was running into our room and climbed right into his bed to calm him down. She would say " Buddy it is going to be OK" as she pat his back. I love how she can calm him down till I can get to him. "Buddy" as we call him will just laugh and follow her around the house. They are always together. She will run around and he will be right at her heals. I am excited to see how they react to the new baby. When it is time to leave the house and the toys need to be picked up, all you have to do is say "Katie time to pick up toys" and she will sing "clean up, clean up, time to clean up" as she picks up the toys and puts them back in the right place. I am glad to see that she knows were they go and that when you are done with something you put it back where you got it from.

Looking for a house

So last night we went to go look at some houses. Mike and liked the townhouse we saw but didn't like the fees every month for them. When we got home we looked online and found one house we love. I am hoping to get into see it Monday. It would be so nice to be moved into a house by the time the baby is here. The house we found has a extra room for a playroom. It would be so nice to have a room to put all the toys in. I will keep you all posted on the house situation.

Happy Birthday

I want to wish my brother a happy birthday. His birthday is on New Years Eve. The best day for a birthday I think.

New Year

This year is starting out great. We are looking at a house tomorrow. I am excited about this. A new place and a new addtion to the family this year.
For New Years Eve we stayed home. Mike had to close so it was the kids and I. We played with the Christmas gifts and watched some movies. After the kids were in bed I waited for Mike to get home to watch the ball drop.
Today was a good day. Mike worked a short day at work. The kids and I played with their blocks and watched more movies. We had dinner with Brian and had a blast. The best part of the night was when Michael spilt Mike's beer all over him.
I am excited to see what 2009 will bring to our soon to be family of 5. I have decided to write a blog a day for 2009.
