No sick day for mommy

There is no sick day for mommy. Since my birthday I have been getting sick. Friday Mike closed and it was just the kids and I. We hung out at home. I really didn't want to take the kids out while I was not feeling so good. We watched movies and colored. Coloring seems to be Katie's favorite thing to do these days. I got Michael to bed so Katie and I watched a movie and waited for Mike to get home. When mike got home he brought my gift home. I got a new laptop. This laptop is the best. So small and light. He came home and picked up Katie and went to get dinner for him and a shake for me. We got Katie to bed and just watched TV and talked.
On Saturday Mike had to be at work at 9. So the kids and I ran some errands. I had to pick and drop of cleaning for him. We also did a Target run for diapers and wipes. We had lunch with Mike. Ben and Alli were coming over for dinner and to hang out for my birthday. We decided to do pizza. Mike got off work at 6 and they showed up then too. We had a blast with them. We always have fun when we get together. It was nice to just hang out at home with our friends. Michael slept and Katie had fun runny around with Ben and Alli.
Sunday I was really not feeling that good. Mike had to work and I wished he was off. We did have lunch with Mike. That was not a good time. They didn't have our name down and we sat that for like ever. We finally got a table then had to wait for them to take our order. I did need to go to Target to get formula but Katie was being her tired self. So I took the kids home for a nap and had Mike bring the formula home with him. We had left overs and watched Amazing race. We got the kids to bed and decided to go to bed since I wasn't feeling well and Mike was going to get up with the kids if they got up so I could get some rest. At around 1AM I had to take a steam shower to see if that would help with the pain. At around 3AM I had to take meds so I could get some sleep. I knew if I didn't get rest that it would make for a long day. Mike closed tonight and with me not feeling so hot. We went to get juice at Publix for Katie and I. We came home and both kids needed a early nap. I was in a lot of pain. All I wanted was for Mike to come home for lunch when he does every day he closes so i could take a nap. He cam home and we just talked. I am so glad that he is off tomorrow. I hate how I get sick the last three months I am always pregers. All I wanted to do is sleep today and feel better. There are just no sick days for mommy :(

On my special day

So yesterday was my birthday.

27 Years old. Man has a lot happened in a year. Today I had a doctors appointment. After I got home we loaded the kids up in the car and headed to our friends Ben & Alli's place to spend some time with them. While we were there my little boy climbed the stairs for the first time. Wish I had the camera. On the way home we picked up dinner since I wasn't wanting to go out to eat. We got Olive Garden. We had dinner at home and then cake. I loved my cake this year. Nothing big just simple. After the kids went to bed I laid on the couch and mike was on the other couch an we watched TV. I guess I fell asleep cause I ended up sleeping on the couch witch was good for my back since it has been hurting now. I am excited to see what happens this year. i was so glad to have Mike home on my birthday. Last year I was in CA with my parents and didn't get to celebrate with him.
This year I got the best gift he could ever have given me.

PJ Day

Yesterday was a PJ day. It was a inside day for us. We stayed inside in our PJ's and just have a nice day. We played games, did some crafts and watched movies. Mike didn't close so when he came home we had left overs from Sunday and was able to watch our Monday shows together. I enjoyed spending last night with Mike. We talked and caught up. Is was better then doing it at Midnight when he gets home from closing.

A special day for us

Valentine's Day is a special day for Mike and I. We have been married for 3 years. Valentin's Day 2005 is the day Mike asked me to marry him. It has more meaning to it then just Valentine's Day. I don't need anything special or expensive for a gift. Just to spend the time with him. He always bring me flowers and a card. Why should I get anything more then that. The memory of our engagement is all I need. We have two wonderful children and one on the way. I have everything I need.

A Happy ♥ Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Today I took the kids to Target with me to get the last of the Valentine's goodies. I had planed on making dinner so I knew I had to get everything done early. I got all the kids goodies for their baskets. I was able to get all the cards and have some time for me. Mike came home for lunch and brought me flowers. I love them so much.

He also brought home balloons for Katie and I.

We had a nice relaxing night at home. A home cooked meal and time with the ones I love. What more can a girl ask for :)

Day Five!

So on day 5 I took the kids to Michael's Craft Store to get some more ribbon for hair bows. We also went to Target to get the rest of the things to make Mike's gift with. I was going to make dinner so I had to pick up some last minute things for it. When we got home I put a DVD on for the kids and started on Katie's bows. They turned out great and I can't wait to get the rest done.

Today the asking for PoppyDuckie is not so much. I think that since we Skype every chance we get it helps her. So today she asked for JackieRon. I guess we will Skype with them tomorrow. Tonight we had dinner with Brian. We had some fun and many laughs. When mike got home he helped me get the kids in the house and then after Katie was in her PJ's and watching a DVD he headed ou to hang with some friends. Now I just hope Katie goes to bed soon so I can go get some rest before Michael gets up in many times. It doesn't help that Mike opens tomorrow so I will be up right when Michael gets up for the day to start my many things I need to get done. More crafts and baking. I hope I can get it all done by the time Mike gets home tomorrow.

Day Four

Day Four was a good day. Mike was off so we just hung out at home. We did go to the Whole Foods Store. But since the weather wasn't so good we just stayed in and had a nice family day at home. I had some things that I needed to get done but thought a family day would be the better way to spend the day. Now I just have more to do today. Cookies and crafts for us now. I still have the hair bows to make. That shouldn't take to long. Lots of laundry to do, but that is what Fridays are for.
I still have no Idea what to get Mike for valentines Day. I also have to get the kids goodies done and put out tonight.

Day Three

Well day three was better. We went to Michael's Craft Store to get some ribbon to make Katie's hair bows. Mike decided to have lunch at home that day. He was closing that night so I knew it was going to be a long night for me. Katie had no nap so i was hoping she would go to bed early. I had both kids in bed by 7. I was so happy. I was able to eat dinner and watch my Wednesday shows. At 10pm both and yes I said both kids got up. Michael was easy to get back down. I gave him a bottle and he went right back out. Katie I had to sit with her and watch her go back to bed. When Mike came home he was going to work on my computer. I went to bed and at 4am Michael got up again. As i handed him to Mike Katie got up. So I asked her if she wanted to lay on the couch near daddy. She climbed up and got under a blanket and startedto fall back to sleep. I was so glad they went back to bed. i was not ready to be up at 4am.
So far things are good. She still asks for her PoppyDuckie but since she can skyp them it isn't so bad. She doesn't cry when we get off the call but looks foward to talking to them every day.

Wordless Wednesday

Day Two!!!

Well day 2 was better. Katie and I had to run out for a bit. When we got home Michael went to get new work shoes. After the kids got up from naps we went to SAM's Club. The rest of the day we just stayed home and relaxed. Not alot of asking for PoppyDuckie. I guess things are getting better.
Mike wanted a Juicer so off to Target to get one. Then off to Publix to get fruits for it. I can't wait for tomorrow so I can try one of Mike's drinks. We had pizza for dinner since it was late and we didn't want to cook that late.

Day one!!!!

So yesterday was day one with out my parents. Mike closed so i thought if there was a problem it would happen while he was home. When Katie got up she came to our room and not to PoppyDuckie's room like she did while they were here. She climbed into bed and watched a Dora DVD for a little bit. She kept asking for Duckie. We told her that Duckie was not here. She was ok with that and continued to watch the DVD. Mike took the kids into the kitchen to eat the food that Duckie left for them. That is when she asked again for PoppyDuckie. The crying started. After Mike left for work Katie spent most of the day in her room. She watched some TV. After Michael took his AM nap I put him in the crib in their room so he could watch together so I could get some work around the house done. All seemed to be going good till she came out asking for her PoppyDuckie and then it go bad. She has these fits were she cries so bad that she hyperventilates. I got her to calm down and back to her room she went. We did leave to go have lunch with Mike. All was good. No asking for them then and she seemed happy. We had two hyperventilations yesterday. My parents called us on Skype when they got to their stop off point for the night and I thought this was going to be bad. But Katie never cried when they got off the call. She finally came out of her room and played with Buddy. they ran(crawled) around the kitchen while I made dinner. After I got Buddy to sleep for the night, Katie and I watched some TV in the family room and just relaxed. She went to bed right on time 9PM. She asked for her PoppyDuckie one last time. Then came the dog and cat. I sat down with her and tried to explain it so she would understand. I think she understands now. We will have to see haw day 2 goes.

Wish I had a picture

I put my son down for his nap on Sunday and thought he was sleeping cause it was so quiet. I snuck in the room to get something and when I opened the door he had his back to it and was playing. When he noticed the door open he swung his head around and started laughing. It was so cute. If I only got a picture.
Today Katie thought it would be funny to shut all the bed room doors and the bath room doors. She then went into our bath room and locked the door. She thought is was so funny. I guess I will have to flip the door knobs on the bath room doors now.

This is a picture from out last trip to Ca to see family. We had Buddy Baptised and then went to a petting zoo. He didn't go see the animals with Katie but stayed with poppy and had fun.

With my parents

Last Saturday we had a wonderful dinner with my parents. We went out for my birthday. Even though my birthday isn't till the 19th. They are not going to be able to be here so we did it while they were here. So when Mike got there he put our name in for a table. They told him 30 minutes but is was a hour and half wait. They got us a table. We ordered drinks and food for Katie. Katie st between my parents. The waitress brought her some pizza dough to play with. She has a blast and never once "asked time to go?" We had a great meal and lots of laughs. Both kids were great no crying. Mom and dad had taken Katie outside while we packed up the high chair cover and the diaper bag. A lady sitting behind us said as we left that we have two great kids. She has never seen kids not cry even though it was way past bed time.
Yesterday mom and dad had to pack for their long trip home. Katie kinda knew what was going on so I decided to skip her nap so she could spend time with them. There were lots of trips out back to play.


We just stayed home and had a relaxing night with them on their last night here till the new baby comes. Since Katie didn't have a nap she didn't want to eat dinner with us. She went to bed really early.
Last night Mike and I watched Psych. We spent time together since he closes tonight and today I was going to have my hands full. After we had gone to bed Michael got up wanting to eat and then once we got him back down I was almost out again and Katie started crying. This was going to be a long night. Finally got her down and I was ready to go back to sleep. Both kids got up two more times last night. It will make today a long day.

on a funny note. Today after Buddy got up from his nap I put him in his crib so that the two of them could watch Dora while I cleaned the kitchen and did some laundry. I went in to get Buddy for a bottle and found Katie coloring the door, her bed and walls with crayons. Thank God for bath crayons. I wanted to cry cause I didn't want to have to deal with this and clean the house. But it came off 1,2,3. Now she is sitting on her stuffed toy from Christmas with her bat paddling

Our busy Thursday!

Yesterday was a very busy day for the Mast family. Mike had to be up and out of the house for a 8:45 appointment. Once Mike got home we spent the time with Katie while Michael took one of his naps. I had my appointment also. This was going to be a long visit. Since I was having some pain I had Mike go with me. We got there and I started my lovely sugar test. We saw the doctor and everything is looking great. Right on track. We still had to sit and wait the hour for the blood work. While we were there we saw a carseat and stroller we liked. A nice lady told us about a site to go and look and smaller cheeper seats. Mom and dad had a blast with the kids while we were gone. Last night we were going to go out with friends Ben and Alli but cause I was still in pain we had to call and say another time. I felt bad but was having problems sitting and walking. We stayed in and just spent time with my parents. We watched tv with my dad while Katie played with my mom.
Last night dad gave Katie some chocolate. When he said all done she moved her bin of her play food over to the counter with the rest of the chocolate santa. She dug right in and came back with it all over her face.
For the past couple days Mike and I have been working on a puzzle. Last night Mike got a bunch of it done. I am so glad we decided to do this as a couple.
