No day off

For the first time in 4 years Mike was off on St. Patty's day. We decided to have a relaxing day and then head to the fair. The weather didn't want to work with us so no fair for us. We hung out around the house and just spent time as a family. Then we had to run to Publix to get food for dinner. We also decided to pick up a pressure washer from a friend and clean the Lani for dad. When we got home we put Buddy down for a ver over due nap. Mike and Katie were out front and I thought they were moving it to the back but Mike decided to clean the driveway and walk way for dad.

The lani Mike decided to do On thursday since it started to rain and was getting late. I guess there is no day off for Mike.

Boys with be Boys!

Every day we will get Buddy up and change his diaper and feed him. Then off to his crib to watch a DVD with Katie while we get dressed for the day and food on the table. He just plays in the crib while Katie plays on her bed. They have fun. One time I was putting him in his crib from the play yard in our room and didn't even notice he was without his diaper. So I put a new one on and went to go do what I needed to do. Another time I put him in his crib and took my shower. While I was doing that he managed to take his diaper off and pee all over his crib. Katie thought she could help and got out his diaper but never came and got me. What a helper. Well since that time we have had not problems. His pants or shorts have stayed on till today. I got him up out of the play yard, changed his diaper and gave him a bottle. It was to early and Katie was in my bed. Weired night last night so they all ended up in my room which I didn't mind. So I put him in his crib with the DVD on. When Katie got up she wanted to go to the couch not in her room so I got up gave her a sippy then went in to get him. He was playing in the crib like a good boy. Then I noticed his pants were off. I didn't think anything of it since he was sitting down. As I got closer to the crib and he saw me he stood up and there he was in all of his glory. His diaper next to him torn to bits and all over the crib. When I picked it up I noticed it wasn't even full. This guy took it off for fun and ripped it apart. Then he managed to pee out the crib all over the floor. So after I cleaned it up I had to laugh. It was just to funny. We put another diaper on and he pants back on so we could go play in the family room. When Mike got home for lunch I had him come look at the rest of the diaper in the crib since I couldn't lean all the way in and get it out. Belly and all :) So as I told him what is little boy did Buddy was all smiles. So proud of what he did. I guess we are back to one pieces for nap and bed time. I guess boys will be boys. :)

Wordless Wednesday

What a adventure!!!!

So we had quite adventure the last few days. Yesterday started out like any other day. When the kids got up they played in their room and watched a DVD. I was able to get up and get some things done without little feet under mine. I loaded the kids up early to go get the pictures from my maternity shoot. When we got home I put buddy down for his nap while Katie and I played in the family room. I got the kids in the car and we were on our way to have lunch with Mike. I was going to stop at his store and get ice and chocolate milk. I then decided to let Mike bring them home due to the fact that I didn't want to have to lift Katie to put her in the car. Wen we got home it was nap time again so I put Buddy in his crib and told Katie she needed to lay in mommy and daddy's bed and watch a DVD. She didn't want to and would get all fussy so I decided to lay down with her. I am not sure how long she napped for. But all of a sudden she started crying. I tried to get her to stop and nothing worked. She wouldn't even take food or water. I got her to sit on the couch with me but nothing worked. We called Duckie, Poppie and daddy and nothing worked. After 3 hours of it I called Mike again and told him that I couldn't get her to stop crying. I tried everything and still she wouldn't calm down. He came home to see if he could help. When he got home he tried to hold her but she wouldn't let him. She didn't want to lay down and watch TV, she didn't even want to have a sippy of water. No cookie either. Mike said lets take her on a car ride cause that works. We loaded the kids up and started out car ride. She was ok till we went to strap her in the car seat. We got gas and then headed to Mike's work to drop him off. Brian was going to bring him home after work. When we turned onto Clark he called his mom to see if there was anything else I could do while he was at work. His mom told him that at Katie's age Joe had appendicitis and he was just like how she was acting. So when we got to his store I called the doctor and he told us to take her in to the ER. So Mike went in and told work that was going on and then we headed to the hospital.
We got the ER at 7:15PM. We sat there with her till almost 9PM. Then I loaded Buddy up in the car to take him home. Mike said that if she hasn't been seen by 10PM then it was time to go home and we would take her to see Cocco tomorrow first thing. I got home and put Buddy in his crib. I sat down to watch a TV show and text mike to see how things were going. Still hadn't been seen. At 10PM I loaded Buddy up and off to the hospital I went. I picked them up and she was her old self again. Mike told me that she kept asking for the fish and to see the babies that were there. We headed to Walmart cause I still needed the ice and milk. When we got home it was time for Buddy to go to bed. Katie climbed into our bed and watched a DVD. She fell asleep while Mike and I watched some TV. During the night I got up to look in on her and she was fine. Buddy would get up for his diaper change and bottle. This time he didn't want a bottle and would not stop crying. Mike would have to pin up to even get some bottle in him. The only way he would sleep was if Mike held him and Mike even said he had to fight Buddy to sleep. Katie did get up at some point and I just let her lay in bed a watch a DVD. I was not going to push for her to go back to sleep with what she went though. We ended up going back to sleep. When Buddy got up up for the day we noticed he was warm. So we loaded the kids up and off to see Cocco. When they took her temp she at a low fever or 99.1. Buddy had a fever of 100.5. He couldn't find anything wrong and said Katie actions could have been from teething or a headache, Buddy's could be the cold they both still have or teething. He said to put them on 48 hour around the clock pain meds. we headed home to get both kids their pain meds and to let them get some rest. Buddy took his fine and went down for a nap. Katie fought hers and ended up vomiting up her food and we think so meds but we are unable to say. after she took a shower she layed in our bed and watched a DVd. Buddy slept a good 3 hours. Final later in the day Katie took her nap. Buddy is still on the warm side but not as bad. Katie seems to be almost back to her fun self again. I hope tomorrow goes better the yesterday and today. I need so good rest now.

Not Me Monday

I didn't drag the kids and hubby to another photo shoot for just me. Making sure everything was just right even if I didn't have sick kids. No not me

I didn't sit at the doctors for a hour to wait to be seen. Just to find out I am not 33 weeks I am 35 weeks and nothing going on yet. No not me

I did go to Publix to get food to make hamburgers out back and make the Patty's just to have them shrink to about nothing. Then to have hubby say lets make smors. No not me

I didn't pack up the kids to go to dinner with Brian even thought Katie was not on a nap day. I didn't make her eat her food and sit down like a good girl. No not me

I didn't make meat loaf for dinner and go out back with friends to take some cute funny St Patty's Day pictures. I didn't get face paint, flowers and all. We didn't take some fun out there pictures. No not me

I didn't load up the kids so I could run around town to get some last minute things before the baby comes. To many stores, not enough drinks for the kids and not really wanting to be out today. No not me

So last night we had hamburgers. After the kids went to bed Mike decided not to waste the fire and said let roast marshmallows. So I grabbed the bag and outside we went. It was nice to just talk and spend time with just Mike and no kids. It was such a nice night that I didn't want to go back inside. I am so glad that the cold weather is gone. More night out on the porch. Yesterday I had so much that needed to get done. I had to pick up a black pot for the kids pictures from a friend. Thanks Alyson. Then off to Michael's Craft Store. I got lots of things for the pictures we will be taking tomorrow. Then it was off to Publix to get ground meat for dinner. When we got home it was time for the over due naps. We all took our naps. Finding things to do with the kids that doesn't require me to take them out of the house is getting hard.

Smart kids

Tonight Mike said it is time fore Katie to go to bed so we can have I.C.E.C.R.E.A.M the next thing we know Katie goes "daddy ice cream, let's get ice cream" It was so cute. Our little girl is growing up so fast.

Today Michael decided to crawl over the ride along and got stuck. It was cute but so sad at the same time.

The coutdown starts

I am now at the once a week doctors visits. The countdown has started. Still so much to do before the newest member is here. I want to do some cute tummy pictures before. So I will be doing them tomorrow. I also need to find a outfit to bring the baby home in. Need to get the new car soon. I just hope mom and dad are here in time. I will have a post every day now to keep you all up to date on how things are going. We are so excited to bring this little one home. Katie now points to belly and says you have baby? I have been busy getting things ready for new born pictures and Easter pictures. I have so many ideas in my head and now to just make and buy the props. This time it has flown by so fast.

Every time I ask Mike for something I have to watch how I ask. I will ask for a soda in a glass over ice. He will bring me a glass of ice with a can of soda in the glass over ice. It is funny. Tonight I asked for ice cream in a bowl and a spoon. This is what I got.

I will ask for something and then have to quickly change what I said so I get the right thing. Those of you who know Mike know how funny this is. I love his funny answers. One of the many things I love about him.

So much to do

I have found that there is still so much to do before the new baby comes. I have been thinking about what to do for the new born pictures we will take next month. I cam up with this great idea. I looked online and found the perfect hats for the baby. Don't mind the colors. I picked natural colors since we don't know the sex of the baby but I love the style hats.


I am so excited to get them in. I should have them in this week. the pictures are going to be so cute. Now to find Katie and Buddy hats for them. Ian getting so excited and to think I only have a month left. Then boy will we be in trouble.

Something for Poppie.

Busy mommy

Being sick is not fun but you keep going with small kids in the house. Last week we stayed in the house as much as we could. I really wasn't up to go out unless I really had to. Monday was not a good day. I was still under the weather, but it ended up being a great day. Katie and I did crafts while Buddy slept. Mike closed that day so it was just my all day. That night it ended up being a Early bed night for the kids and I just curled up on the couch and watched TV. Tuesday Mike was off so it was nice to have the help with the kids. We had to go around town to take care of some things but other then that it was back to the house for some family time. We watched TV with the kids and made a great meal. Wednesday Mike closed so that ment a 11 start time for him. Since I didn't seem to be getting better and we are running out of time for me to get better I went to see the doctors. He gave me some meds to help and boy are they helping. Michael was caughing a little and congested so I called the doctor and got him in also. Nothing bad but they gave him some drops to help him sleep. Man do they work wonders. We are getting a full nights sleep now. He is even back in his own room at night and for naps. I am glad we are on the bend over here. Mike was off again on Thursday so that ment another family day. I love our family days. We don't have to do anything outrageous, sitting at home as a family is all we need. I did have to find ribbon to make some bows so I loaded Michael up in the car and off to the store we went. I was unable to find the ribbon so we headed to Publix to pick up a few things. Friday the kids and I hung out at the house doing crafts and just having fun. Everyone seemed to be doing better. We did lot of playing pretend. Right now it is all about Dora. We had dinner with Brian and it is always fun. I will say spicy food and I don't mix. Yesterday I needed to go find some Capri jeans for our photo shoot on Tuesday. So I loaded the kids up to go to Old navy and Target. I found one pair of pants that I can make into Capri's. I also bought the kids their St. Patty's Day clothes. At Target I picked up some things for dinner and then we headed home. Katie was very fussy and not feeling the best. To my surprise when we got home both kids took long naps. I was able to lay down for a bit then started dinner close to when Mike was getting home. Last night we just stayed in and watched some TV. Today we have been staying in. When we got up it was windy and raining. Not a day to go out and play. Michael took a nice long nap so far. Katie played and eat her food. When Michael got up the two have them have been none stop playing. I am so glad they get a long so well and can just play for hours. Tonight we will watch a movie for our Mast family movie night. Not sure what to watch.
